Vivid Colors with a Canon 20D
I purchased my Canon 20D almost a year ago, and I have learned a lot along the way. I just purchased a new lens, the 28-135mm F3.5/5.4 IS. This will now be my all around usage lens. Hopefully I’ll it will be a long time before I have to remove the lens from the body. My intention is to keep the CCD as clean as possible, making my photos dirty and spot free.
I came across an interesting arctle on flickr about making your photos more vivid. The process isn’t specific for a Canon 20D and can be produced in Photoshop CS. I’ll be applying the method to using CS2. To read about the process please visit the Canon 20D Group in Flickr. The specific discussion is found the the forum of that group. It’s entitled “Processing for Gorgeous Vivid Colors“. Notice the second post in the thread. It’s very helpful.
Here’s some more links I’ve come accross in my research:
2 Min Color Corrections
Color Temperatures
Levels Color Correction
Brightening Under Exposed Areas
Controlled Recoloring
Skin Touch Ups

Here is a list of their books on digital imaging.
For monitor calibration I recommend comparing the Huey and Eye-One by Pantone. Here’s the Comparison Chart
