ROKR E3 and iTunes

Moto E3 Pics

I know many people have been looking forward to the ROKR E1 and the ROKR E2. Sorry to disappoint you but it’s not going to be on the ROKR E3. Motorola has introduced a product called iRadio and will be dropping iTunes from the next generation ROKR cell phone. Motorola is taking the stance that Apple is developing their own cell phone to play music and video… probably called iPhone. Apple has yet to confirm the development of the new product. Considering Apple already had the iPod, a cell phone isn’t a far step away from what the product already offers.

Sorry to disappoint you about the Motorola ROKR E3. There will be no iTunes.

I’m actually happy to hear this. Last year when I heard apple was working on a phone, I thought (hoped) it would be an i-pod with phone ability. I thought those would sell like crazy and would have purchased one myself. I’m not a real big fan of the Moto phone, and think that if apple comes out with their own phone it will probably be a HUGE hit. I would love to see a phone that is about the size/look of a Nano. If it had a good camera (2 meg at least) I’d buy one.

Yes there will be a Rokr 3, but I’m not aware of a release date. I also haven’t seen any materials on pricing, but I’m sure it’ll be adove $250 to start.
