Race for the Cure
My friend Monika will be participating in the Tarranty County Race for the Cure event April 15, 2006. Here is an exerpt posted by her husban Adam for her:
I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the Komen Tarrant County Race for the CureĀ® on Saturday, April 15, 2006, in the fight against breast cancer. One in seven women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Tarrant County Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure.
Please join me in the fight by pledging in support of my participation in the Race or contributing generously to Komen Tarrant County. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in Fort Worth and national breast cancer research.
Whatever you can give will help!
I truly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you so much for your time and support in the fight against breast cancer! Every step counts!

Support Monika Again
To date Monika has raised $330, 67% of her goal. Being that my father died from cancer last November I think any support for cancer research and education is a wonderful thing. I thank Monika for taking such a proactive role in raising donation for this disease. Please show your support for her and other cancer members by donating today.
