(PRODUCT) RED iPod for HIV/AID in Africa

From Apple Insider:

Apple will contribute $10 from the sale of each iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED to the Global Fund to help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. It will also offer a $25 iTunes (PRODUCT) RED gift card available for purchase at Apple’s retail and online stores next month.

I know Apple has seen some scrutiny lately for not producing Green computers and products. I still think Apple is moving the company into a great position from a branding and business aspect. Market share is growing. They are listening to what consumer products people want. And I think they are doing so is a professional manor that shows they are interested in people. Yes they are a business, but they are going above and beyond. They are becoming a part of society and that is what makes a brand have longevity. Apple has a bright and long future which will be case studies for MBA students to come.
