R. Blake Ramick

I have over 11 years of experience in web and UI design. A majority of my experience is in HTML & CSS development as well as Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal & WordPress. I'm proficient in taking an online project from concept to final completion while resolving browser compatibility related issues and overall QA.

With experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM), I understand the best practices in converting designs into an efficiently loading and optimized webpage.

Some of my previous work includes; development & UI design of an online based print/toner management system, Drupal theming & setup, Twitter theming, landing page design & implementation and also interactive designs for an LCD based menu system.

I speak the CMYK, Pantone Color and press check language. Early on as a Graphic Designer, I had the responsibility of design & production in a fast paced environment producing a monthly 100+ page magazine. I managed photo shoots, creative and production.

As a Creative Director I have experience in multi-project managment and creative concepting. Assign a marketing or advertising project, and I'll bring the ideas then complete the task to the highest level.

Some of my previous work includes; ad designs, custom invitations / announcements, t-shirt designs, direct mailers, CD sleeve & booklet designs, brochure / catalog designs and also full magazine design & production.

After studying in Italy, I became hooked on photography. It's the perfect blend of the technical left and artistic right side of my brain. On my Flickr account you can find additional photos I've taken during my travels.

My personal photography endeavors led to my first professional assignment, a photo shoot for Collectible Automotive magazine. As resquested, I continue to take professional photography.

My primary area of expertise of development is in CSS and html. I once had a colleague jokingly say that I "could write a first person shooter game in CSS" after watching me troubleshoot compatibility issues between browsers.

As of recent, I've begun to learn more about JS / AJAX / JQUERY and will continue my advancement in these areas. My other areas of continuing interest include mobile theming and application development.
